Description: What is a desert? Is it just dunes of sand with camels walking over them? Or is it much more than that? Rajasthan's Thar Desert in Jaisalmer, is home to the musician and singer community - the Manganiars. Earlier this year, I went to live with them for a few days and they took me around to some of the places, which are a part of the lives of the locals here. It made me think about what a place is and I understood that the people of a place really make a place what it is.
